By accepting pet food, treats, supplements, or any other pet-related products (“Products”) from Vets Love Pets (“Organization”), the recipient acknowledges and agrees to the following terms:
-
Food Provided As-Is
All Products are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. The Organization makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees, express or implied, regarding the quality, safety, suitability, nutritional value, condition, freshness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or effectiveness of any Product distributed.
-
Recipient Responsibility
The recipient is solely responsible for determining whether any Product is appropriate for their pet(s), including consideration of age, breed, weight, health conditions, allergies, sensitivities, dietary restrictions, prescription diets, and nutritional requirements. Recipients are encouraged to consult a veterinarian before introducing new foods or products into their pet’s diet.
-
Assumption of Risk
The recipient understands and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the acceptance, handling, storage, preparation, and use of any Product provided by the Organization. Such risks may include, but are not limited to, allergic reactions, digestive upset, illness, injury, nutritional deficiencies, contamination, choking hazards, adverse health effects, or death.
-
Release and Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the recipient releases, waives, and discharges Vets Love Pets, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, partners, donors, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to the receipt, possession, distribution, handling, or use of any Product provided by the Organization.
-
No Guarantee of Availability or Quantity
Pet food assistance is provided solely at the Organization’s discretion and subject to available inventory, funding, donations, and program resources. The Organization does not guarantee that assistance will be available at any particular time, in any particular quantity, or on an ongoing basis. Receipt of assistance on one occasion does not create any entitlement, expectation, contractual right, or guarantee of future assistance.
-
Supplemental Assistance Only
The Organization’s pet food assistance program is intended solely as supplemental support. Products distributed are not intended to provide all nutritional requirements for any pet and should not be relied upon as the sole source of nutrition. Pet owners remain fully responsible for providing appropriate food, veterinary care, and all other necessities for their pets.
-
Product Changes and Substitutions
Product brands, formulas, ingredients, package sizes, and quantities may vary from distribution to distribution without notice. The Organization is under no obligation to provide specific brands, formulas, or types of food.
-
Indemnification
The recipient agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Vets Love Pets and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, partners, donors, sponsors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising from the recipient’s acceptance or use of any Product.
-
Acknowledgment
By accepting Products from Vets Love Pets, the recipient acknowledges that they have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the terms of this Disclaimer and Release of Liability.
